Prince had a protege band called 3rdeyegirl. He wore his iconic glasses with a 3rd lens on an album cover. I thought it would be fun to make some for my Prince themed party. They were easy to make, and everyone loved them!
Materials Needed
- Purple round party sunglasses. You can find packs of 12-20 glasses on Amazon that have an assortment of colors. If you use those, just use the purple ones. It takes 3 pairs of glasses to make 2 of the 3rd eye versions.
- Gold rope ribbon (optional)
- Super glue
Steps to Make the Glasses
- Bend the glasses on one pair to remove the lenses. They should easily pop out with a little pressure.
- Glue the gold string around each extra lens (do this only if your glasses have gold rims)
- Glue the extra lens to the top center of a pair of sunglasses.
Once dry they are ready to wear!
They make a fun accessory for the Prince themed party. I’ve even worn them to other Prince tribute events and have received many complements!
